Bella

Hi, I'm Bella! I'm an adult dog with a youthful spirit. My energy is boundless, and I love exploring every nook and cranny I can find, which sometimes includes digging. My caretakers at the shelter say I need mental stimulation, like tracking and scent work, whatever that means! I'm always ready to play, but I also enjoy cuddling with my people.

I'm friendly too, always eager to make new human friends. I'm friendly towards the other dogs at the shelter but when I'm out and about on-leash and see other dogs, I enjoy shouting at them. I don't see what the big deal is but my caretakers are helping me learn to be less "shouty" so I'm trying my best. I would be open to the possibility of a dog roommate if we met and hit it off but they would need to be around the same size as me. Annnndddd, I don't think I should have cat roommates because the idea of chasing them sounds really fun and word on the street is people don't want their cats chased. Weird.

Anyway, I'm spayed and current on vaccinations, whatever that means.

Here's how to contact my shelter people if you're interested in meeting me:

Finn and Pip

Introducing Finn and Pip!! Two indoor kiddos looking for an indoor home with bunny savvy folks, to call their own. Finn and Pip arrived at the shelter together after having been found outside together but they don't necessarily have to be adopted as a pair. However, we do feel that Finn would be open to having another bunny for a housemate provided there is a proper introduction and acclimation period. Finn will benefit from a home that can provide him with a good size run, as he is active and quite enjoys binking. Finn looks forward to his salad of veggies and greens after his morning and afternoon romps. He is playful, curious and quite affectionate with his favorite caretakers at the shelter. He is about a year old, neutered and litter box trained. Finn's adoption fee is $65.00.

Pip is a more independent gal but we think she and Finn could possibly be housemates, provided there are ample opportunities for her to have space and breaks from Finn's antics as needed. We can't be sure if she would be receptive to a brand new housemate.Pip is also curious and silly but she needs a patient person who can help her become more comfortable with being handled but also respects her limits. She's not afraid to give a nip when she'd like you to back off, as she's quite a, well, a Pip!! We don't feel Pip would be the best fit for a home with young children. Pip also enjoys a good salad in the morning and afternoon. Pip is about one year old, is spayed and litter box trained. Pip's adoption fee is $65.00.

*If Finn and Pip are adopted as a pair, their fee is $100.00. If you would like to arrange a time to meet Finn or Pip or both, please give us a ring at: 401-910-8999 or email: Nkassf1@gmail.com

Jax

Introducing Jax! Jax is fresh off his photo shoot with Polar Square Designs and ready to find a home! Jax is a young (approx. 2yrs old) goofy, and playful pup full of energy. His days are filled with chasing his tail, playing fetch with anyone who'll join, and exploring his surroundings. Jax's vivacious spirit is infectious! He has not lived with another dog before so potential adopters with dogs will need to a meet and greet. No cats or small animals for this guy, he's a chaser.

Jax is neutered and current on vaccinations. Contact us to arrange a time to meet Jax! Nkassf1@gmail.com or 401-910-8999. Please share!

Beau

Say hello to Beau! Beau is a sensitive soul whose world has been turned upside down. Beau was very loved in his former home but he found himself at the animal shelter when one of his owners passed away and the other was unable to continue caring for him. At 5 years old, he is full of energy, playful and enjoys the company of those who share his zest for life. Beau is not immediately comfortable with new people but when introduced by someone he knows and trusts, he warms up quickly and is happy to hang with the new member of his circle. Beau has not lived with or been around young children and he has not lived with other dogs. We're still figuring out his feelings about other dogs. Beau would very much like to chase squirrels, rabbits and even birds so we won't be placing him in a home with cats or small animals. Beau is neutered and current on vaccinations. To arrange a time to meet this kiddo, please give us a call or email at: 401-910-8999 or Nkassf1@gmail.com. Please note, meet and greets for Beau must be pre-arranged, we will not be doing pop in meet and greets. Thank you and please share!

Roo

ROO!!!!!

Meet Roo, the shelter's bundle of joy! Roo's a playful and funny dog who brings energy and laughter wherever she goes. A true survivor, Roo has shown remarkable resilience as she's made the long journey of recovery from severe malnutrition.

She has continued to thrive since being at the shelter. Her playful antics and eagerness to learn make her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal and loving friend. Roo is about 4 years old, spayed and current on vaccinations. She does need to stay on a prescription diet for the time being as well as probiotics so her GI system can continue to heal. Roo likes other dogs, has previously lived with cats and doesn't seem interested in chasing them. She does however, have an Achilles Heel; riding in the car. Roo needs to be in a seat belt harness or crated in the car, as she finds it too exciting to stay in one place!

Bailey

Meet Bailey, a mature Husky with a spirit that is anything but old! Bailey is about 6 years old, neutered and current on vaccinations.

His antics are sure to make you laugh as he is quite the goofy character. Bailey loves a good game of fetch, but his version involves getting you to chase him around for the ball Bailey seems to like other dogs that are comparable to his size but cannot be placed in a home with cats or small animals. And, while we realize that not every dog needs a fenced in yard, it is a requirement for Bailey's adoption.

Bailey's smart, playful, and independent nature makes him the perfect companion for someone looking for a dog that can keep up with their active lifestyle, but also appreciates downtime. If you would like to meet Bailey, please give us a call at: 401-910-8999 or send us an email at: Nkassf1@gmail.com

Adelaide

Meet Adelaide (Addy), a petite, young adult cat with a mellow personality. She's simply adorable, although you may notice she looks a little cranky, as if perhaps she's a little......um, constipated? Yes, unfortunately, Addy's tiny body has been pretty backed up. However, with some medicine and prescription food, things are moving in the right direction () and getting out of the shelter and into a home will certainly help even more.

Addy is about 3 years old, spayed and current on vaccinations. Addy was found living outdoors so we do not know if she has ever lived with other cats, dogs or kids. She seems cautious but curious about other cats so it's possible she may do well with another cat.

Please give us a call or email if you'd like to meet this pint size cutie. And please share

Ozzy

Meet Ozzy, a 5 year old male with a sweet and gentle soul. Despite his somewhat shy nature, Ozzy is very friendly, warming up quickly to those who offer a gentle touch or a kind word. Ozzy was found living outdoors so we don't know if he's ever lived with other cats, dogs or kids, although first impressions suggest he may not be keen on other cats.

Ozzy is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is also FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive. If you're not familiar with FIV, the following link provides some helpful information. In short, cats with FIV have lifespans comparable to cats without FIV. And although FIV can be transmitted from one cat to another via saliva, from a deep bite wound, not from regular social interaction.

https://www.humaneworld.org/en/all-animals/fiv-positive-cats.

One thing FIV definitely does not do is diminish Ozzy's loveable, gentle spirit or how deserving he is of a loving home.

Consider giving Ozzy the loving home he deserves. Interested in meeting Ozzy? Give us a call, send us an email or stop by the shelter. And please share

Cairo

Meet Cairo, a senior cat (10 years young) with a heart full of love. Her days at the shelter are spent seeking out gentle pats and warm laps, showing her sweet and friendly nature. Cairo is a bit on the needy side and is quite chatty at times. She has a soothing presence that makes her a perfect companion for quiet evenings at home. Adopting Cairo means giving her the loving forever home she deserves, where her affectionate personality can truly shine. Cairo previously lived with another cat (a male) and they got along well. She also lived with a dog and young children but did not enjoy either so she is looking for a home without dogs or young children.

Cairo is spayed, current on vaccinations and FelV/FIV negative. Interested in meeting this gorgeous girl? Give us a call, send us an email or pop in! And please share !
